Obama-Clinton '08

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Let the games begin.  There's little doubt that the Democratic Party ticket will feature Obama and Clinton, in that order.  For Obama it's a twofer.  Like it or not he's going to get two Clintons. A formidable ticket.  Very much like the Kennedy-Johnson ticket of in 1960.  Add an elder opponent in McCain, and the resemblance to the 1960 race is complete.  The difference.  Kennedy was a tax cutter, strongly pro-defense, and not passionate about expanding the federal government.  But a race, it is.

Voters on the Fringe (or Middle) Will Decide The Presidency

SAN FRANCISCO, CA----A small band of voters have decided recent elections -- Congressional races included.  Now recent polls show that 10-20% of Obama voters would vote McCain if their candidate loses the nomination.  Thirty percent of H Clinton supporters would rather switch than hitch to Obama.  And 10% of McCain voters would go Democrat if he picks the wrong VP candidate.  This will drive pollsters into a spin come September...

The two political parties are becoming more a base for a candidate, with the winning margin determined by political dexterity.. and clever exploitation by consultants, you would think.  Not with the abundance of 'alternative' media sources, like social networking sites, YouTube, and blogs.  The candidates' positions and dispositions will more transparent... meaning that again that small band of voters that will decide the election will be elusive and difficult to predict.

Hillary's Only Hope

Clinton_hillarySAN FRANCISCO, Ca --  I'm no fan fan of Clinton, Hillary, BUT I like to kibitz campaigns... she needs to do three things to save her nomination hopes.  Start pounding away at the total cost of Obamas proposals (exceeding $2 billion, and still counting) and ignore his glamour sheen.. Act like a president running for re-election (cool, explicit proposals, international threats)...Run against the Republicans (defining herself with the GOP as her backdrop).. So long as she chases Barack Obama, she loses.

Con Job: Part Two

KerrSAN FRANCISCO, CA -- The Hillary Campaign goes a step further with their planted gay vet at the GOP/CNN-sponsored Florida debate.  That rambling speech from the floor from former Green Beret Keith Kerr was like fingernails clawing against a blackboard.. and it turns out a member of the steering committee of gays and lesbians for Democratic candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton. A preview of things to come and who's in control, and how a Clinton victory will change the country.

The Con Job

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Of course the CNN debate was primed and ready to boost the Hillary Clinton campaign.  They, those who see her as Prez, figure that Fox is biased, pushing GOP candidates.  Every newsman knows that 80% of their colleagues are no longer reporting the news. They're all biased now.  There's no very little unbiased news "reporting".  So there shouldn't be any unslanted presidential debate.  Just balanced bias. A sad state of affairs for America. But the people are smart.  They're watching, when they can.  They don't trust any news department.

Explain it, Global Warmists

HurricaneSAN FRANCISCO, CA-- They're very quiet aren't they?  The doom and gloom global warm fanatics can't explain the lowest hurricane season in 30 years (From the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric prediction Studies (COAPS) -- 'It's the sunspots.' Nor can they explain several global warmings and coolings when 'humankind' were either non-existent or just figuring out how to rub two sticks together to induce fire.

Morphing IRAq into IRAn

IranaSAN FRANCISCO, CA -- By Linking the Iraq operation to a threatening Iran -- or, morphing the two missions -- the Bush Administration appears to making sense of the Iraq invasion for the American people. (I know, they found no mass destruction weapons.)  I say "appears".  They've got a long way to go.

But hasn't that been the problem?  Why the war is important, or, critical to the global strategic interests of the United States?  Why are soldiers dieing?

It's not enough that we're making headway against the various insurgents through classic counter-insurgency military principles.  It's not enough that American casualties are very low now.  The American people have wanted a reason, a viable reason why our security is tied to the Iraq operation.

Iran is becoming that reason.  With the moronic proclamations from it's diabolical little leader, and Iran's rush for nuclear weapons, the Iraq war has become part of the cold (soon, hot) war against Iran.  Or, by being in Iraq, we're preempting Iran's intention to dominate southern Iraq . that includes the rich oil fields (Iran runs out of oil in about 15 years).

So, the more Iran is demonized, or, the more Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Mullahs demonize themselves, the more our presence in Iraq, on their doorsteps makes logical military sense. And  justifies American casualties.  And that's the core passion of anti-war sentiment:  The American people need do know why American men and women are dieing daily.  Why the country's self-defense depends on their sacrifice.

By the Way, the soldiers, men and women, in Iraq don't need to be told why.. Thankfully.

Dems' Big Tax Plan: Now We Have Two Parties Again

SAN FRANCISCO, CA --   The second most spectacular fall from heights this year.  Yup, the Democrat proposal for a four percent (4%) surcharge on those earning over $150,000 has overnight recreated a two-party system.  (The first great fall: The 2007 New York Mets, appropriately.)

The only clear accomplishment of G.W. Bush and the formerly Republican controlled Congress was lower taxes.  The two parties, of late, were morphing into each other.  Voters were clearly fed up with big spending republicans.  It seemed the GOP was on the endangered list.  But with this proposal, and recent comments from the Democrat presidential candidates, there's now a 'choice not an echo'.  (Goldwater).  We have a two party system and new life (not the GOP's doing).

California Outlaws "Mom" and "Dad"

Mom_and_dad_2 SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- This from World Net Daily: "Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law a ban on "discriminatory bias" against homosexuals and others with alternative sexual lifestyles....The law at issue went through the California legislature as SB 777, and now bans in school texts and activities any discriminatory bias against those who have chosen alternative sexual lifestyles, Meredith Turney, legislative liaison for Capitol Resource Institute, said.

"It will prohibit anything that suggests that the natural family – a man and a woman, married, with children – is normal or typical," said Carlson. "Thus, under this latest advance toward a Brave New World of polymorphous perversion, California textbooks will no longer be able to use words like 'mother and father' and 'husband and wife,' because they suggest that heterosexuality is the norm – even though that is manifestly the case, even in California."

What's next? Cultural police enforcing the ban in the home? Kids being issued citations for calling their Mom, "Mom", Dad, "Dad".  Parents hauled into court for not supervising their kids.  And this is a Republican governor. What does that tell you about the party.

Look, the advocates of the ban say that unless these distinctions are prohibited, hate crimes will continue.  Wrong!  The more the cultural facists push their world view, the more the citizens resent their bullying, which only creates more antagonism.  Antagonism leads to a few morons to violence.

Thus, the elite progressives tried to force same sex marriages on the nation, and the nation replied with 49,  49!, states opposing same-sex marriages in one form or another.

This current ban in California schools will be on the California ballot in 2008. Then we'll see how much California voters have "progressed."

Gore to Challenge Clinton?

GoreSAN FRANCISCO, CA --- The rivalry between Al Gore and the Clintons is notorious,  So the question has been raised, will Gore challenge Clinton. He's thinking about it.  You know he'd love nothing better.  A successful fundraiser, he knows the mountain he'd have to climb.  But, if he enters late enough, he could win enough primaries to stop the Clinton freight train.  Will know soon enough.  The signs should start showing up quickly. Grassroots Dems are pushing ahead with a draft Gore effort.
