Saddam Must Be Executed
ROME (AFP) - Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi said Saddam Hussein should still be considered Iraq's legal president and the current government illegitimate as it was elected under an occupation regime. Full Story
That's the problem we have. The Libyan "leader" demonstrates it-- Without appearing too cold blooded, I say Saddam must be executed for Iraq to survive as a nation.
He should be tried and convicted, of course. The Romanoffs were executed by the Russian Bolsheviks. The French Royal family, beheaded. And so it goes. This trial has gone on for too long.
Execution is the reality of it. "It" being the tearing down of a dictator It's also very primal (and we are in the end.. at least in part... primates). The male in almost every species eliminates the rivals. And I mean eliminate.
So long as Saddam lives, his despotic kingdom, remains. His followers harbor hope that he can be sprung from jail and resume his tyranny. Without delay, eliminating him gives the new Iraqi government the greatest military advantage -- and hastens our departure.

Is this a possibility? Sounds like the right direction to take. Will a martyr arise as a rally cry or will execution serve it purpose? Either way Saddam must go.
